End of Life for the English Versions of CCNA Discovery and CCNA Exploration

Cisco Networking Academy has declared the EOL (End-of-life) dates for English versions of all the courses in CCNA Discovery and CCNA Exploration curricula, and for the three CCNA Routing and Switching transitional courses. The Last Class End dates for the following courses are (Start Date: 1-Dec-2014     End Date: 30-Jun-2015)

CCNA Discovery

  •      CCNA Discovery 1: Networking for Home and Small Business
  •      CCNA Discovery 2: Working at a Small-to-Medium Business or ISP
  •      CCNA Discovery 3: Introducing Routing and Switching in the Enterprise

CCNA Exploration

  •      CCNA Exploration 1: Network Fundamentals
  •      CCNA Exploration 2: Routing Protocols and Concepts
  •      CCNA Exploration 3: LAN Switching and Wireless

CCNA R&S

  •      Network Basics
  •      Routing Protocols
  •      Switched Networks

It is to be noted that the Last Class End Date is also the last date to access course materials online and the last date to receive support for the curriculum. Academies currently teaching translated versions of CCNA Discovery and CCNA Exploration may continue teaching those language versions and leverage the CCNA Routing and Switching Bridging Materials to cover topics that align with the current Cisco CCENT or CCNA Routing and Switching certification exam.

We encourage all academies and instructors to transition to the CCNA Routing and Switching curriculum to take advantage of the many enhancements and alignment with the CCENT and CCNA Routing and Switching certifications.

Recommended new courses are as follow:

CCNA R&S
  •      Introduction to Networks
  •      Routing and Switching Essentials
  •      Scaling Networks
  •      Connecting Networks
